About Niamh
I’m a writer and researcher in Meanjin Brisbane. I’m almost finished my PhD in Creative Practice, which involved adapting traditional fairy tales into works of ecofiction that take place in contemporary Australian settings. My research interests include ecofeminism, feminist modes of storytelling, ecofiction, and fairy tales.
My fiction, research, and articles have been shared in Australia and overseas. My favourite things to read are literary fiction, translated fiction, adaptations of old stories, stories with interesting structures, and stories that blend genres.
I’m a sub-editor at Jacaranda Journal, providing high quality copyediting and proofreading for fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. I’m a content writer at Science Write Now, an excellent free journal where science meets creative writing. I also work as a university tutor in academic and professional writing, grammar, and syntax.
Currently, I am available for short- and long-form fiction and non-fiction copyediting and proofreading, and copywriting. I have a range of short-form editing packages available. Please get in touch to chat further about these services.
